Our much loved husband, Dad, Grandpa and Papa Vince was welcomed to heaven by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 7. He loved life, and everything he did was done to the fullest extent possible. Vince was raised mostly in the Fitzhugh area and graduated from Roff High School. He went on to willingly and proudly serve his country in the Vietnam conflict as a member of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal, among others. Upon his return, he embarked on a career in oilfield chemicals eventually selling his business and retiring in 2011. However, he never retired from life. He enjoyed being in the cattle business and also spent much of his time on his heavy equipment building ponds and moving dirt. He was always outside working, taking immense pride in the home he loved. He also had more time to spend fishing, which was his favorite hobby. But more than anything, he loved his grandchildren, which was evident in all he did with them and for them. He was all about creating a magical place where special memories could be made. He was the best Grandpa and Papa that anyone could ever have. Vince lived large and loved large, and we all loved him beyond measure. We are all better, because he showed us how to live and loved us as only he could. Vince and his wife Teresa share four wonderful children and five amazing grandchildren. Surviving Vince is his loving wife Teresa, sons Aaron Burrows and wife Cassie of Ada, Brook Burrows of Norman, Jeff Wilson of Oklahoma City, daughter Jami Ledoux of Yukon. His grandchildren Sawyer and Wrenlee Burrows of Ada, Haley and Brooke Wilson of Moore and Brayden Ledoux of Yukon. He is also survived by his brother, Edwin Burrows and sister, Suzie Marrs. He was predeceased in death by his parents. We want to thank Elara Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they gave our loved one in his last days with us. If you would like to remember Vince in a special way, a contribution to Tunnel to Towers can be made at t2t.org.
