Fittstown - Tamara Danette Sharp, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away in her home on November 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
She was born on August 7, 1963, in Amarillo, TX to Lahoma Young and Darris Flowers. She grew up in Fittstown, OK and graduated from McLish High School where she was a member of a state championship basketball team and had many friends that lasted all her life.
Tamara was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance. To her family and friends, led a life full of love with many unforgettable memories. She raised two children, Tara and R who will never forget the love and joy she shared with them.
Tamara was a leader in all aspects of her life. Most of her job titles included the title "Director".
When she was the Director of Main Street in Ponca City, she brought communities together through events that still continue 20+ years later.
Tamara was also the Director at the Ada Red Cross, continuing to help those in need. She spent the last of her working years at Private Jets, Inc. as Director of Charter where she oversaw flight operations. Tamara always had a passion for aviation that she received from her father while flying in his Cherokee 180.
Tamara was predeceased by her father Darris Flowers and is survived by her two children, Tara Mace and Rory Sharp as well as her mother, Lahoma Young and her three brothers, Kevin Flowers, Darren Flowers and Chris Logan. She absolutely adored her five grandchildren: Kera, Juliana, Reece, Amelia and Ranger. She is survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15, at Hangar 2 for Private Jets Inc. at Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City where family and friends gathered to share stories, laughter and some tears before having a BBQ luncheon.
To honor Tamara's life and legacy, the family invites friends and loved ones to consider a donation to the Stonewall-McLish Education Foundation, a cause close to Tamara's heart.
