Rosy  Hanks
Services for Rosella Lee "Rosy" Hanks, 87, of Ada are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church. Her son, Michael W. Hanks, will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanks passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at a Tulsa hospital.
She was born July 6, 1932, at Stuart to Dennis S. and Bertha M. Adams McDuffie. She graduated from Calvin High School.
She married Doyle E. "Red" Hanks on Nov. 4, 1950. He preceded her in death July 3, 2003.
Mrs. Hanks was the co-owner and operator of Hanks Nursery here in Ada from 1976 to 2003, when she sold the business to her son.
Mrs. Hanks was an active member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and tending to flowers.
Survivors include a daughter, Dana Biggs and husband, Gary, of Mounds; three sons, Michael Hanks and wife, Judy, Ada, Darryl Hanks and wife, Patricia, of Oklahoma, and David Hanks and wife, Pam, Ada; a brother, Will E. McDuffie of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger McDuffie.
Bearers will be her grandsons.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations can be made to the House of Hope Pregnancy Care Center, 509 E. 12th St., Ada, OK 74820.

Mike and Judy I am so sorry to hear of this news. Every time I was around Rosy she was always welcoming and so nice. So sorry for your loss. Take joy in the knowledge that she is in a much better place.
