Ada, Oklahoma - There are no funeral services planned at this time for Ronald Glenn Matthews, 61, of Ada.
Mr. Matthews died Friday, July 3, 2026, peacefully in his home. He was born August 3, 1964, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Jeffey and Ruth Matthews.
Ronnie was a beloved father and grandfather. He was a nationally recognized life-long drummer and a proud friend to everyone he knew in the Ada community.
He is survived by his six children: Buddy Matthews and Oliver Matthews, of Ada; daughters, Trae Matthews of Ada, Selina Bo Matthews-Bottoms and husband Bryan Bottoms of Houston, Texas; Rhiannon Morlan of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Cera Matthews and wife Sara-jo Matthews of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his grandson Bennett Bottoms of Houston, Texas.
