Rodney Harlin Obituary

Stonewall, OK - Rodney Wayne Harlin, 85, of Stonewall, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1940, in Jesse, Oklahoma, to Van and Velma Harlin.

Rodney grew up in Pontotoc County and graduated from Tupelo High School with the Class of 1958. He worked for years as a driver for PepsiCo and Frito-Lay and also raised cattle on the side. He carried with him a lifelong love for the outdoors and simple country living. He enjoyed coon hunting, watching sports, and driving down old dirt roads in search of deer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Velma Harlin; his brothers, Terry Harlin and Tim Harlin; his wife, Linda Harlin; and his son, Kenny Harlin.

Rodney leaves behind a legacy of family and fond memories. He is survived by his nephews, Terry Lynn Harlin, Willy Harlin, Joe Harlin, and TV Harlin, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma. Graveside services will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Jesse Cemetery, where Rodney will be laid to rest.

Rodney's life was one of quiet joys and simple living. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
