Patti Anne Palmer Obituary

Ada, OK - Remembering Patti Anne Palmer

Patti Anne Palmer passed away peacefully, after a life marked by boundless energy, quick wit, and a profound dedication to her students. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and thousands of stimulated minds.

She was born December 5, 1966, in Galveston, Texas, to a young, hip couple, Sandy and Glen Ingram. Her older sister, Laura, was a toddler already at home preparing to be her "mini-mom."

Life and Achievements

Her early years were spent moving between Midwest City, and Oklahoma City until the age of nine, whenher family relocated to Vamoosa, Oklahoma. She transitioned from a school with 500-600 kids per grade to one with only 11 students in her 8th-grade graduating class. "Go Chieftains!"

After attending Konawa High School, she attended East Central University where she studied English, Psychology, and Education, setting the stage for a remarkable career. She dedicated 33 years to teaching across various schools, including Bowlegs, Strother, Konawa, Byng, East Central University, and Calvin.

Even after retirement, her commitment to education shone through. She was a proud co-founder of the Rolling Hills Academy, a school created within a facility for residential youth. She often noted that while her whole career was rewarding, she was grateful for the opportunity and challenge that Rolling Hills provided. In her entire career, she taught over 10,000 students.

She reflected that while her departure may be earlier than preferred, it was a truly wonderful life, filled with joy from riding her motorcycle all over the Vamoosa countryside roaming in the woods, playing with her two wonderful children and having a rewarding teaching career.

Family And Relationships

Her family was a source of immense pride. They were funny, loyal, and loved more than she could ever express.

Her son Chris Buelow, of Owasso, OK, and his family with Sarah and their two boys, Wesley and Oliver, plus their Great Dane rescue, "Travis." Her daughter, Amanda Palmer, of Oklahoma City, along with

partner Kelsi and son Jude.

She is also survived by her sister Laura Ingram, and her husband, Jeff Pilkington, of Norman, OK, Laura's daughter, Lauren Kelly Lester.
