Stratford, Oklahoma - Nina Mae Jewel Elmore of Stratford was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Chickasha to Kale and Ruth (Bates) Green.

She passed away Jan. 17, 2019, in Lexington Nursing Home, Lexington, at the age of 92 years. She grew up in the Stratford area and married James Elmore on Aug. 29, 1942, in Stratford.

She worked as the food service supervisor at the Pauls Valley State School for many years. She also worked at the senior citizens center.

She loved cooking, baking, embroidering and reading.

Preceded by her husband, James; one son; Richard Elmore; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survived by one daughter, Nancy Myers and husband, Kenny, of Ada; three sons, C.B. Elmore and wife, Janet, of Moore, Lonnie Elmore and wife, Carlene, of Edmond and Mike Elmore and wife, Teresa, of Edmond; two sisters, Estelle Pennington of Ada and Johnnie Sue Henegar of Stratford; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: great-grandchildren Tyler Houston, Brantley Elmore, Cade Savage, Brody Savage, Garrett Elmore, Cody Elmore, Tyler Morris, B.J. Jackson, Joshua Johnson and Caleb Johnson.

Services: 2 p.m. Monda at DeArman/Pickard Chapel, Stratford. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery, Stratford.
