Seminole, Oklahoma - Lou Ellen Tippin, 79, Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, in Seminole, Oklahoma. Lou Ellen was born March 25, 1941, in Konawa, Oklahoma to Carl Hughes Guinn and Zader Viola (Phillips) Guinn.
Lou Ellen loved working with people. In her early years, she spent time working at a high school and a doctor's office. She had the privilege of spending fifteen years as a medical clerical secretary with the Chickasaw Nation.
She married Curtis Tippin on February 10, 1980, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Curtis preceded her in death on May 2, 2019.
Lou Ellen is survived by three sons: David Philpott and wife Cindy of Seminole, Oklahoma, Randy Philpott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Nathan Kent Tippin and wife Jeannie of Cape Coral, Florida. One daughter, Tracy Majors, and her husband Mark of Edmond, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren: David Philpott, Samantha Philpott, Timothy Philpott, Joseph Philpott, Jonathan Philpott, Annalee Gilmore, Josh Tippin, Amanda Smithers, Tim Riley, and Tiffany Halford. Her great-grandchildren: Adrianna and Alessandra Philpott, Jaqi Gilmore, Chandelle, David, Matthew, Jasmine, Danielle, and Nathan Philpott, Damiana Brown, Andrew, and Emily Tippin, Savannah, Wyatt, Charlie, and Sophie Smithers, Karlee Halford, Zeke, and Emmerson Riley.
A Celebration of Lou Ellen's life will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.
