Linda Lea (Gray) Varvil, 81, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, died April 14th, 2023.

She was born in Ada, Oklahoma on April 24, 1941 to Thurman Gray and Mildred (Corbin) Gray.

Linda graduated Vanoss High School in 1959 and attended East Central State College in Ada. She was married to Joy Roberts, Jr. of Ada and had two sons, Greg and Chris. Later she was married to James Varvil of Tryon.

Linda was an avid quilter and lived her life with a smile on her face, with arms ready to offer a big hug, and with a heart full of love. She was always telling stories to anyone who would listen and made everyone around her feel special and loved, not just by her, but also by Jesus Christ.

She worked for TG&Y headquarters in Oklahoma City then later at Applied Intelligence Group in Edmond. Following her retirement, she worked in the fabric department at the Norman Hobby Lobby.

She is survived by her sons Gregory Roberts and his wife, Kristi (Girl) Roberts, of Edmond and Christopher Roberts and his wife Heather (Meek) Roberts of Bartlesville, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Roberts and his wife Busra Karaman of Asunción Paraguay, Brian Roberts of Oklahoma City and Brittany (Roberts) Teague and her husband, James Teague of Fayetteville Arkansas, and one great granddaughter, Scottie Teague, also of Fayetteville, sister Amelia Carol (Gray) Little of Norman, and Dale Gray of Norman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Mildred Gray, step-mother Melva (Anderson) Gray, step-brother Lee Clements, and husband James Varvil.

A celebration of life service will be Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10am at Calvary Chapel, Norman. A private interment will follow at a later date at McGee Cemetery in Stratford.
