Brooklyn, NY - Leigha Rene' Pettett passed away June 28, 2025 at the age of 47 in Brooklyn, New York from lingering illnesses. She was born March 3rd, 1978 to Zenobia Ann (Cothran) Pettett and Dr. Jack Pettett of Stonewall, Oklahoma. Leigha attended Ada High School where she participated in drill team and orchestra. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in 1996 and attended Columbia University in New York City, New York. Leigha obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Columbia University.

Leigha was passionate about the Arts. She enjoyed China painting as a child and sold many water color as well as oil based canvas paintings during her lifetime. She enjoyed instructing at Creatively Wild Art Studio in Brooklyn, NY. Leigha is survived by her sister, Ann Wickersham and husband Chris of Denton, TX and her brother Jason Pettett and wife Casey of Gunter, TX. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews. Leigha is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Jack and Zenobia Pettett.
