Stonewall - It is with mixed emotions, both sorrow and gratitude, that we announce the passing of Larry William Reeves of Stonewall, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. He passed away on November 22, 2025, in Mabank, Texas. Larry was born on April 28, 1937, in Whiteflat, Texas, and spent his life showing kindness, patience, and a deep, steady love for his family and friends. Everyone who knew him felt it.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, granddad, and uncle. A gentle and good-hearted man, he was loved by all who knew him. He worked as a manager for the telephone company for more than 60 years. Throughout his life, Larry enjoyed many hobbies, tying flies, fishing, hunting, sports, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Jamie Reeves of Mabank, Texas; his son Larry Reeves and wife Suzanne of Mabank; his daughter Audrey Marty of Mansfield, Texas; and his daughter Julie Cox and husband Wallace of Sulphur, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Reeves; his mother, Valera Corley; his brothers Ozzie, Dick, and Doug; his sister Bobby; and his grandson Derrick.
Larry was the kind of man whose presence made others feel at ease. His kindness came naturally, and his steady, gentle spirit was a gift to everyone around him. We are deeply grateful for the years we had with him and for the memories we will always hold close.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
