Ada, OK - John Herman Kerr

John was born December 22, 1937 in Allen, OK to Robert H. Kerr and Eva Mae Kerr James.

John went to meet his Lord and Savior on May 9, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Kerr, his parents, a brother David Kerr and a granddaughter Johnna Lynn Kerr.

In 1959, he was wed to Phyllis Eubank; his wife of 62 years. Their children are Kerry Kerr and wife Becky of Carl Junction, MO. and Kelly Kerr and wife Gene Ann of Stillwater, OK. Their grandchildren and great grandchildren are Holly Karhoff and husband Geoff of Garden City, KS. and their children Brady Karhoff and Madison Jo Karhoff. Hannah Salas and husband Matthew of Hobbs, NM. Julia Ann Kerr of Stillwater, OK. and John A. Kerr and wife Aryne of Shawnee, OK.

John was a graduate of Byng High School and the University of Arkansas. He was a retired local businessman and a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He cohosted many Scripture Memory Courses with his wife Phyllis. He also enjoyed golfing and creating model railroad scenes of the Colorado Midland Railroad.

The family would like to personally thank Wade Evans, Bill Clark, Stan Briley, Bob and Pat Vavrika, Fitzhugh Baptist Church and John's neighbors for their kindness, support and care for John.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
