Davis, Oklahoma - Joel Dewayne Hearrell, 54, passed away June 19, 2017, in Davis. He was born May 23, 1963, in Lincoln, Kansas, to Wendell and Deanna (Roberts) Hearrell.
Joel attended school in Roff. He was a heavy equipment operator and a welder in the horticultural department at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Chickasaw Nation Warrior Society. He enjoyed wood/metalworking, fishing, hunting and fixing things.
He is survived by his mother, Deanna Hearrell of Roff; his son, Jonathon Hearrell and his wife, Sabrina, of Roff; his daughters, Cherina Whatley and her husband, Clayton, of Ada, Lesa Hearrell and her wife, Rikki, of Ada; his grandchildren, Kadence, Abigail, Addison, Kelee, Riley Whatley and Stoney Hearrell and Ryder Mac Hearrell; his brothers, Wendell Luther Hearrell Jr. and his wife, Lilly Mae, of Mill Creek, Michael Allen Hearrell and his wife, Janet, of Roff and Daniel Hearrell of Odessa, Texas; and a host of other family members and dearly loved friends.
Joel is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Hearrell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Brother Troy Madden will officiate. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Clarita. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Funeral Home in Coalgate.
