Newcastle, OK - Services for Janet Sue Crawford, 82, of Newcastle, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Janet passed away peacefully at her home on May 26, 2026, surrounded by love as her family prayed with her. She was born on November 30, 1943, in Hominy, OK, to Robert Walter Wells and Lovella Merrill Wells. She married the love of her life, Carl James "Jim" Crawford in 1961. He preceded her in death in 2008.

She attended Cedar Grove FWB Church and First Baptist Newcastle.

Janet worked for Southwestern Bell, Homer Elementary, and First National/Vision Bank.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Wilson; daughter, Karla Prewitt and husband Kevin; son, Carl James "Jimmy" Crawford Jr. and wife Briana; grandsons, Kyler Prewitt and wife Jessie; and Kodey Prewitt and wife Elizabeth; granddaughters, Ally Crawford and Aubrey Crawford; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Prewitt, Jemma Prewitt, Sutton Prewitt, Remi Prewitt, Oak Prewitt, and Quest Prewitt. She also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
