Tupelo, Oklahoma - Jamie Duane Ellis, 40, a Tupelo resident. He was born on March 22, 1980, to John Clifton and Joan Ann (Brown) Ellis, at Ada, OK.

Jamie passed away on Jan. 8, 2021, at Ada, Ok. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1998. Jamie was soon to graduate from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Jamie was an officer with the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center Security. He was the Tupelo Police Chief for 10 years. Jamie was a Reserve Deputy for the Coal County Sheriff's Office. He was a volunteer firefighter for Union Valley Fire Department for 9 years.

He was married to Christina Lynn Fish. Jamie was a member of the Tupelo Baptist Church. His hobbies were shooting guns, working with his hands & golfing. He loved his truck.

Survived by wife, Christina Lynn (Fish) Ellis of the home in Tupelo, OK.; son, Jaxon Ellis of the home in Tupelo, OK.; mother, JoAnn Ellis of Tupelo, OK.; father, Cliff Ellis of Stonewall, OK.; stepson, Reese Hamilton of Byng, OK.; sister, Johnna Walker & husband Darrell of Ada, OK.; brothers, John Ellis & wife Carmen of Ada, OK.; and Jeremy Ellis of Tupelo, OK.

Along with numerous nieces, nephews & many dear & loved friends

Preceded in death by grandmother: (Mom) Myrtle Brown; grandfather, John Henry Ellis; grandmother, Patsy Horton; and aunt, Nadine Ashley.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Brown's Funeral Chapel with Brother Tony Randol & assisting Pastor Zac Hawkins officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
