James Wylie Parker passed away Aug. 19, 2021, at his home in Coalgate, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. He was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Atoka, Oklahoma to his parents James Lee Parker and Virgie Pauline (Rains) Parker.
Jimmy married Betty Mae Hyatt on Aug. 22, 1964, at Wallville, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 1982. He later married Judy Paulette Cogburn on Jan. 23, 1984, at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. They celebrated 37 wonderful years together. Jimmy enjoyed canning, gardening, tending to his cattle, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Judy Paulette (Cogburn) Parker, children: James Wylie Parker and friend Kerrie Roberson of Stillwater, Sheila Roberson and husband David of Tupelo, Clark Parker and Christy Lemons of Coalgate, Sheri Collins and husband James of Bromide, Mark Parker and wife Shannon of Sherman, Marcy Williams and husband Michael of Coalgate: 19 grandchildren (10 boys, 9 girls), 9 great-grandchildren (6 boys, 2 girls, and one girl on the way), daughter-in-law: Melesa Parker or Tupelo, siblings: Rodger Eddie Parker of Tupelo, Lora Bergquist of Louisiana: Tammy Palmer and gang at C&C Hardware in Coalgate, and a host of nieces, nephews, longtime friends, and family.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, children: Eddie Lee Parker and Justin Parker, granddaughter: Courtney Parker, great-grandson: Watson Griggs, 2 sisters: Georgia Grist and June Howard, Mother of his 4 children: Betty Mae (Hyatt) Parker.
