Moore, Oklahoma - Frank Thomas, 97, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at SSM Health, Oklahoma City. He was born on October 30, 1928, in Allen, Oklahoma to Clarence and Susan Harjo Thomas. He was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Frank was a long-haul truck driver with Lee Way and Roadway Trucking Lines. He received numerous awards for safe driving. He enjoyed country music, Elvis, TV westerns (Gunsmoke, etc.) and collecting trucks. His favorite sports teams were the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma Sooners. Frank is survived by his children, Gail Klinger (Jack) Houston, Texas, Frank Thomas, Jr. (Janet) Oklahoma City, Carolyn Valentine, Dallas, Texas; Grandchildren, Clint Thomas, Blanchard, Oklahoma, Marlana Klinger, Houston, Texas, Leslie Valentine, Dallas, Texas, Lauren Valentine Windham, Maine, Lindsay Ivie, Moore, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Jacy, Liam and Trey Thomas, Rylan Ivie, Jackson and Dominic Martin; brother, J.C. (Jim) Thomas; niece, Lisa and nephew, Steve. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lela Kilcrease Thomas; parents Clarence and Susan Harjo Thomas; and brother, Otto. Our dad was very much loved and will be greatly missed and forever cherished.
