Archie Jay Russ, 67, of Konawa passed away Aug. 18, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the PAC building at Konawa Schools. The Rev. Philip Mullins and Jaymeson Kennedy will officiate. Burial will follow at Byars Cemetery in Byars.

Casket Bearers are Tim Coffey, Tim Duck, Mark Manuel, Lonnie Manuel, Charles Forehand and Jared Norman. Honorary bearers are Tim Harris, Jack Russell, Bob Villines, Darrel Mackey, Jay King, Ed Cole, Justin Keys, Bill Kennedy, David Roe, Brandon Stoup, Micky Johnson, David Parker and Alan Akerman.

Visitation will be held Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The family will be available to receive guests Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Archie was born April 16, 1949, in Corona, California, to Albert Russ and Opal (Turner) Russ. After graduation, he married Grace Ann King Russ Aug. 16, 1968, in Oklahoma City. Archie was a welder with OG&E for 32 years. He loved working in his shop and he always enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Ann (King) Russ of the home; three daughters, Angie Gentry and husband, Scott, of Konawa, Annette Villines and husband, Bobby, of Edmond and Amy Eropkin and husband, Mike, of Earlsboro; one brother, Alvin Russ and wife, Sue, of Stratford; six grandchildren, Colton and Shelby Gentry, Hannah and Sarah Villines and Kelsey and Brandon Eropkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Opal Russ.
