Graveside services for Wanda Ruth Kemp Atkins, 84, of Stonewall, are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Atkins Family Cemetery, south of Stonewall, David Atkins will officiate.
Mrs. Atkins passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2017, at her daughter's home in Clinton. She was born Feb. 3, 1933, at Blanco to Stanton and Lizzie Pope Kemp. She attended Carter Seminary in Ardmore and the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas.
She married Eugene L. Atkins July 19, 1956, at Oakland, California. He preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1986.
Mrs. Atkins was a homemaker and a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Stanton Atkins of Stonewall; a daughter, Anna Hulsey of Stonewall; a grandson, Ryan Atkins; and two brothers, Warren James, Tahlequah, and Jesse James, Shawnee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Robert Lindsey Atkins; and several siblings.
