Graveside services for Donald Thompson "Tom" McGill, 76, of Konawa are at 10 a.m. Sunday at the McGill Family Cemetery. The Revs. Bobby Stovall, Drew Isaacs and Dan McGehee will officiate.
The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation at the family home, 34658 NS 3500, Konawa, from 2 until 6 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. McGill passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his home. He was born Feb. 1, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to John Crawford and Thyra Pauline Snider McGill. He graduated from Parkway High School in Desperes, Missouri, and attended Southeast Missouri State and East Central University.
He married Dalace Marie Daniel March 5, 1965, at Gatesville, Texas. Mr. McGill was a cowboy and blacksmith. He attended Grace Community Church at Vamoosa and Crosscut Cowboy Church near Byng. Mr. McGill served in the U.S. Army from September 1963 until being honorably discharged in September 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Dalace, of the home; five sons, Jim McGill (Annie) of Waynoka, Zack McGill (Anna) of Chickasaw, Enoch McGill (Crystal) of Konawa, Benjamin McGill (Ryann) of Konawa and Jake McGill (Kaly) of Bentley, Kansas; two daughters, Sandy Watts (Steve) of Corsicana, Texas, and Mary Harper (Rollin) of Ada; 11 grandchildren, Ashley McGill, Tyson Collins, Fletcher Watts, Ella Watts, Kady McGill, Jacy McGill, Lilly Harper, Jude Harper, Coralyn McGill, Trew McGill and Kenna McGill; two sisters, Tammy Streib (Phi) of Fredericktown, Missouri, and Michaele McGill Beckerle of Sarasota, Florida; a half-brother, John McGill (Virgie) of Bourbon, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Larue.
