Susan Lea Caton, 61, of Allen, Texas, passed away May 21, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. June 2 at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, Plano, Texas. Another service will take place at 1 p.m. June 3 at the First Christian Church in Ada.
Susan was born Feb. 15, 1956, in Lawton. She was the daughter of Clyde Robert McCreary and Arletta DeVere McCreary. She was raised in Ada and graduated from Ada High School in 1974. She studied at East Central University in Ada.
Susan married Jerry Don Caton Nov. 27, 1976. Susan worked as an administrative assistant/receptionist for many years at Aruba Petroleum in Plano, Texas. She was a great mother, wife and friend.
Susan loved knitting, crocheting, watching old sitcoms and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in McKinney, Texas.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Robert McCreary; her grandparents, Henry and Clara Mcjunkin and Ernest and Stella McCreary.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Don Caton; her sons, Jonathan Lee Caton, 38, Benjamin Ryan Caton, 34, and his wife Kathryn Lea; his mother, Arletta DeVere McCreary; his brother, James Robert McCreary; his sister-in-law, Phyllis McCreary; his grandchildren, Leah Marie, 5, and Brooke Ryann Caton, 3; a nephew, Matt McCreary; and a niece, Jenny Reyher.
