Services for Ova Viola (Tubby) Davis, 79, of Ada are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Harold Ware and John Haynes will officiate. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Bohannon Cemetery near Stuart.
Mrs. Davis passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at a Norman assisted living center. She was born Feb. 4, 1937, in Scipio to Jake and Cora Boyd Wood. She attended grade school in Cabiness and graduated from Stuart High School.
She married Douglas Edward Davis June 27, 1955, in Ada. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 2011. Mrs. Davis was a beautician and owned and operated Tubbys Beauty Shop. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Potts and her husband, Kevin, of Norman; a son, Steve Davis and his wife, Laura, of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Jaime Kliewer and her husband, J.T., and Ashton Smith and her husband, Nick; two grandsons, Preston Craig and his wife, Whitney, and Dylan Duncan; her great-grandchildren, Hudson, Davis and Isobel Kliewer and Daxton Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She also had a semi-adopted son, Harold Ware of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Davis in 2013.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Falls Creek Building Fund, 521 S. Broadway, Ada, OK 74820.
