Marion Leon Manuel Jr., a retired master sergeant in the United States Army, passed away Oct. 12, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 29 days.
He served our country in the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years of service.
He was married to Marilyn McGinty on Jan. 29, 2015, in Denton, Texas. He was also a beekeeper and was known as the honey man.
He is also survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; two sons, Terry Dean Manuel and wife, Amy, and Brian Keith Manuel; one daughter, Angela Michele Manuel Billy and husband, James, all of Ada; his mother, Mary Ann Manuel of Ada; a sister, Sue Ann Ogle and husband, Glenn, of Ada; one stepdaughter, Kathleen Vermillion Null and husband, Drew, of Argyle, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces; a longtime friend, Donna Harvey of Medford; and many other special friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Manuel Sr.; a brother, Tommy Eugene Manuel; and his grandparents.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Chapel, Stratford, with the Rev. Keith Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Corley Cemetery, Stratford.
