Services for Jimmie Don Griffin, 71, of Fittstown are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fittstown First Baptist Church. The Rev. Reno Dye will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Griffin passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home. He was born July 10, 1945, in Ada to Willie Gale and Carrie Armanda Gambrell Griffin. He attended Fitzhugh grade school and graduated from Latta High School.
Mr. Griffin was a truck driver and had been a school bus driver for the McLish schools. Later, he enjoyed working on his ranch, riding his horses and attending rodeos.
Survivors include two sons, Chance Griffin and his wife, Tara, and Clinton Griffin and his wife, Ashley; a daughter, Sheila Good and her husband, Justin; two brothers, Norman Griffin and his wife, Belinda and Richard Griffin and his wife, Cindy; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ina Jean Griffin.
Bearers will be Buster Greenwood, Daniel Evelly, Don Rolen, Rhett King, John Littlefield and Angelo Rubio. Honorary bearers will be Dalton King, Marco Velasco and Bob Griffin.
