Longtime Ada resident Mr. Jack McNutt Jr. passed from this life on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the age of 87 years.
Jack was born in Ada to his parents, Jack Sr. and Blanche (Crutchfield) McNutt,Sept. 4, 1929.
Jack married Lois (Carlene) Tilley on May 4, 1949, in Ada, where they both reside and have raised their family. Jack worked in the heating and air business as a sheet metalist and belonged to the sheet metal union.
Jack was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his yard.
Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carlene McNutt, of the home; two sons, Danny McNutt of Oakman and Eddie McNutt of Byng; one daughter, Lisa Dickinson of Tuttle; one sister, Kathryn Woodruff of Ada; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Jack was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothea Grice; one brother; Robert(Bob) McNutt; and one granddaughter, Amanda McNutt.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Union Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home.
