Harold's Story

Mr. Oscar Harold Allen passed away at his home in Ada March 21, 2017, at the age of 85 years.
Harold was born in Ada to his parents, Perry and Annie (VanBuren) Allen, Oct. 10, 1931.
Harold has lived his entire life in Ada. He and Frances were married in February 1977. Harold enjoyed fishing and aggravating his family in love. You could always find Harold at the coffee shop, visiting with his friends.
Harold plugged wells in the oil field and worked for the family business, OK Cementing. Harold received his 50-year pin with the Masonic Lodge #81. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
He is survived by one son, Phillip and wife, Tommie Allen; five daughters, Vera Allen, Judy Strange, Pam and husband, Buddy Delozier, Sherry Buckley and Beth Thompson, all of Ada; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of longtime friends and neighbors.
Preceding Harold in death includes his parents, six brothers and seven sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Rosedale Cemetery, with Deacon Gene Reeves officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smith-Phillips Funeral Home.
