Christopher "Lance" Fleming Sr.
Christopher "Lance" Fleming Sr., age 39 and a former resident of Konawa, passed away from this life Sunday, May 28, 2017, in Stonewall.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Evangelistic Center in Shawnee, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. The Revs. Drew Isaacs and Noah Willoughby will officiate.
Casket bearers are Stephen Palmer, Levi Lehman, Chuck Carson, Nathan Fleming, Kerry Brooks and Darius Yeager. Honorary bearers are Christopher Lance Fleming Jr., Cyrus Lex Fleming and Richard Milam Fleming Jr.
Lance was born Sept. 5, 1977, in Claremore. He received his GED and attended college, and he worked as a glass installer for the construction industry. Lance had a huge heart and enjoyed making everyone around him to laugh. He always had a helping hand and would give someone the shirt off of his back. Lance always had a love for his kids, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother, Vicki Lynn (Boydstun) Fleming of Shawnee; four sons, all of Oklahoma City, Christopher Fleming Jr., Cyrus Fleming, Richard Fleming Jr. and Darius Yeager; grandmother, Faye Boydstun of Muskogee; one brother, Nathan and Amanda Fleming of Purcell; one sister, Chelsea Fleming and Kerry Brooks of Konawa; three nieces, Jaylee, Brooklynn and Mylan; two nephews, Canaan and Connor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and Leslie Yeager.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Milam Fleming Sr.; grandfather, Frank D. Boydstun Jr., grandparents, Robert Lee and Alma Fleming: one uncle, Greg Herndon; and one aunt, Teresa Boydstun.
