Services for Charles Scott Perry, 78, of Ada are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Vicki Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Perry passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at a local hospital. He was born March 11, 1938, in Ardmore to Johnson and Sophia Reeder Perry. He and his family moved to this area in 1948 from Arkansas City, Kansas. He attended Hayes Grade School, graduated from Ada High School in 1956 and East Central University with a degree in accounting.
He married Kay Leonard Jan. 30, 1966, in Ada. Mr. Perry was a Certified Public Accountant and served as the chief accountant for Valley View Hospital for many years. He also worked for Horne and Co. He and Kay were longtime owners of Bob's Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Ada. Mr. Perry was affiliated with First Presbyterian Church in Ada. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years with the Strategic Air Command. Mr. Perry loved genealogy and fossil hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of the home; his son, Jeffry Scott Perry of Denton, Texas; his brother, Bob Perry and his wife, Annie, of Tuscumbia, Alabama; his brother, Kirk Perry and his wife, Kay, of Ada; a sister-in-law, Sallie Perry of Broken Arrow; a brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Leonard and his wife, Adrienne, of Edmond; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Norman Perry.
Bearers will be Frances Crabtree, Francis Bourke, Jason Perry, Chris Perry and Dr. Robert Leonard. Honorary bearer will be Tony Perry.
