Services for Billy Wayne Tackett, 76, of Stonewall will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Travis Muse will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Tackett died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Whitefield. He attended Whitefield and Stigler schools.
He married Janene Green April 29, 1958. Mr. Tackett was an electrician lineman for Sterling Construction. He received awards from the city of Wagoner and several other cities.
Survivors include his wife, Janene of the home; a son, Curt Tackett and his wife, Nancy, of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Sandy Brooks and her husband, Danny, of Wilson, Billie Dean and her husband, Bobby, of Stonewall, Brenda Kail and her husband, Matt, of Newkirk and Kate Walkup and her husband, Gary, of Ada; his father, Clarence Shulze of Renton, Washington; two brothers, Steven Shulze of Renton and Danny Shulze of Stonewall; two sisters, Kathy Agee and her husband, Tom, of Don Pedro, California, and Jenny Montoya of Oakdale, California; 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ima Jewel Shulze; a daughter, Barbara McClanhan and infant daughter, Mary Tackett.
