Services for Vera Frances Grigg, 83, of Tupelo were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Daniel Johnson officiated. Burial followed at Byrds Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo.
Mrs. Grigg passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at her home in Tupelo. She was born June 14, 1933, in Atoka to Robert and Lela Mae Thomerson Hunt.
She married Otis Lee Grigg April 30, 1952. He preceded her in death March 14, 1997. Mrs. Grigg was a homemaker of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her children, Mary Frances Crow and her husband, Henry, of Roff, Edward David Grigg and his wife, Sharon, of Fitzhugh, Harold Glen Grigg and his wife, Vicky, of Noble, Janette Grigg Bond and her husband, Glen, of Stratford, Charles Otis Grigg and his wife, Bobbie, of Tupelo and Brenda Cheryl Grigg and her spouse, Tammy Brown, of Spencer; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Alvin Dean Grigg and Franklin Dee Grigg; five brothers; and two sisters.
Bearers were Tanner Grigg, Tarren Grigg, Josh Grigg, Timothy Grigg, Henry Crow and Alvin Grigg. Honorary bearers were Mike Jackson, Steve Jackson and David Grigg.
