Graveside services for Thomas Hardy Tinsley, 90, of Allen will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Allen Cemetery. The Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate.
Friends and relatives may call at the Criswell Chapel in Allen from noon today until services time.
Mr. Tinsley died Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at an Oklahoma City hospice house. He was born June 18, 1927, in Ratcliff, Texas, to Warren Alvis and Willie Kelley Tinsley.
He married Roberta "Susie" Bishop on Dec. 21, 1947. She preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 2004.
Mr. Tinsley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from being a seismographic driller.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Skelton and husband, Larry; three sons, Alvis Tinsley and wife, Mary, Tom Tinsley and wife, Kathy, and Vaughn Tinsley; one brother, Jerry Sam Tinsley of the Oklahoma City area; one sister, Maxine Helekson of New Mexico; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie, and a daughter, Carolyn LaVaughn Tinsley, twin of Vaughn Tinsley.
Bearers will be Warren Tinsley, Brandon Tinsley, Wade Tinsley, Tiger Ortiz, Hunter Ortiz, Grayson Ortiz and Trey Claire. Honorary bearers will be Waylon Lane, Richard Tracey and Donnie Skelton.
