Rickey Dewayne Wood Sr., 65, passed away Dec. 31, 2017, in Lawton.
He was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Ada to Lendon Keith Wood and Francis (McKinney) Wood. He graduated from Stonewall High School in 1970. Rickey worked many years in the oil industry as a production foreman for Mobile, Christian Well Service and Citation Oil and Gas. He loved racing cars in the '70s muscle era and boxing.
He is survived by two children, Rickey D. Wood II and wife, Amy Wood, Sterling, and Melissa D. Allen, Edmond; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Janie Sanders, Tupelo; two brothers, Mike Wood, Bartlesville, and Gary Wood, Ada; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and a lifelong friend, Earnie Dunlap.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenny Wood; grandson, Bryson Malachi Wood; a son-in-law, Mike W. Allen; and a great friend, Mickey Jackson.
A private family service will be set at a later date.
