Ralph's Story

Mr. Ralph Troy Brown of Fitzhugh was born April 30, 1933, in Ada to Walter and Marie (Shumard) Brown.
Ralph passed away April 27, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Ada.
Mr. Brown relocated to California as a young adult with his family. He helped his dad run the family-owned service station while he raised his family. He enjoyed raising animals and showing his kids many places between California and Oklahoma. He moved back to Oklahoma in 2017 to be with his family.
He is survived by three daughters: Kathy and the late Denny Johnson of Shawnee, Martha Cole and companion, Roger Lackey, of Fitzhugh, and Norma White and husband, Calvin, of Roff; 10 grandchildren, Kelly Harmon, Kenny Bauer, Randy Dunlap, Lisa Brown, Christy Wilson, Tim Reed, Christine Thomas, Roxanne Spaulding, Melissa Reed and Jennifer Hall; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bea Palmer; a brother, Ray Brown; a grandson, Joseph Reed; and a great-grandson, Codyn Spaulding.
There will be a private family gathering May 14 at Martha Cole's home. Scattering of the ashes will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery. Online guestbook and condolences are available at www.phillipsfuneralservice.com.
