Mitchell Clay Stone, 52, known to everyone as Clay, passed far too soon from this earth March 23, 2017. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Clay was born Dec. 23, 1964, in Ada to Jim and Margaret Stone. He was a lifelong resident of his beloved state of Oklahoma. Clay graduated from Stillwater High School, where he was an excellent baseball player and in his spare time he was a very good golfer. He worked in the printing industry where he attained the position of the first pressman.
Clay is survived by one son, Zachary Stone and his step-daughter, Sydney Roberts, of Perkins; two daughters, Channing Wert and her husband, Robert Wert II, and her son, Robert III, and Amiah of Midwest City; one brother, Martin Stone and his wife, Joleen, and their children, Laramie Stone and Savannah Daniell and her husband, Alex, all of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
