Services for Mildred Marie Phelps, 91, of Ada will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Phelps died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at a local nursing home. She was born May 14, 1926, in Coalgate to Gay and Desse Ware Rodgers. She attended Coalgate and Ada schools.
She married Edgar "Ed" Phelps in Coalgate July 6, 1942. He preceded her in death July 2, 1990. Mrs. Phelps retired from Valley View Regional Hospital as an LPN after 35 years of service. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Kinsey and her husband, Bill, of Ada; one sister, Dorothy Comeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Kim Johnston of Castle Rock, Colorado; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Eddie Phelps; and a grandson, Davey Brecheen.
