Martha Ann Whitaker

Martha Ann Whitaker was born March 31, 1934, in Paoli to Lemuel and Ola Mae Burton Kelley. She died May 22, 2019, in Oklahoma City.
Martha graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She and her true love, Douglas Eugene Whitaker, were married June 9, 1951, in Pauls Valley.
Martha had spent time working for BC Clark as well as her clothing boutiques in Ada, Penelepe's and The Clothes Corner. She had also been a Kiwanian in Ada, where she assisted in the original construction of the facilities at Wintersmith Park.
Martha and Douglas absolutely loved spending time together fishing, doing woodwork, and playing games like dominoes and marbles. Nothing captured Martha's heart quite like her family, especially her grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Douglas. She is survived by her son, Paul Whitaker; daughter, Susan Rudolph and husband, Paul; grandsons, Jeremy and Mitchell Whitaker; a granddaughter, Alex Rudolph; and a great-grandson, Tripp Whitaker. She will also be missed by her brothers, Billy Kelley and wife, Pam, and John Kelley and wife, Vickie, as well as her sister, Jeanie Rose and husband, Mike.
A service celebrating Martha's life will be at 1 p.m. today at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.

Paul, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Last time I saw you, she was moving up to be with you. I don't live in the city anymore, so it's been awhile since I ran into you at Aldi or Wal-mart. I miss our visits. Take care and God bless.
