Lewis Edward Crain, 58, of Perryton, Texas, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, in Perryton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Christ in Perryton. Mikel Petersen will officiate.
Mr. Crain was born June 18, 1958, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Lewis Raymond Crain and Lea Kelly Crain. He was an Eagle Scout at age 13 and married his wife, Lynn Jernigan Crain, April 7, 1978, in Ada. They moved to Perryton in 1983 from the Hugo-Ada area. He was a professional electrical engineer and worked for North Plains Electric Cooperative for 33 years and was the engineer and operations manager. He was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher at Church of Christ. He was learning to fly and was an excellent cook, who loved cooking for family and friends.
Mr. Crain is survived by his wife, Lynn of Perryton; one daughter, Jennifer Connell and her husband, Gary, of Perryton; one son, Russell Crain and his wife, Haley, of Perryton; one brother, Tim Crain of Perkins; his parents, Lewis (Bud) and Lea of Ada; one grandson, Clayton Connell of Yakima, Washington; and a granddaughter on the way, Raegan Crain.
The family requests memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 3840 Hulen St., Suite 600, Fort Worth, TX 76107, or to one's favorite charity.
