Services for Ky Harbert Murphy, 64, of Edmond, formerly of Ada and Enid, are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada. The Rev. Brian Burton will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at an Edmond care center. She was born Dec. 11, 1953, at Midwest City to Martin and Pauline Smith Harbert.
She attended Ada schools and received a bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Enid. She received a master's degree from Oklahoma City University.
She married Ocus Murphy in 1974.
Mrs. Murphy was owner and teacher of the Montessori school in Enid for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ocus Murphy, of the home; a son, Kaleb Murphy of Ada; a daughter, Sara Murphy of Edmond; three grandchildren, Jude, Martin and Violet Murphy; and two sisters, Jodi Martin of Ojai, California, and Linda Taylor and husband, Dan, of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marty Harbert.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Salvation Army, 516 N. Independence St., Enid, OK 73701.
