Graveside services for Kenneth Wayne Carpenter, 68, of Ada are at 1 p.m. Friday at Butler Cemetery in Lane. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Carpenter passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1948, in Santa Paula, California, to Virgil Lee and Ruby Bernice Amiott Carpenter. He graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, California, and moved to the Ada area from Caney.
Mr. Carpenter was a bio-medical technician at Valley View Regional Hospital until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Carpenter and Ronnie Harper; a son, Scottie Carpenter; three sisters, Melody Cesmat and her husband, Mark, Rita White and her husband, Zane, and Karen Wood and her husband, Dennis; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents.
