It is with great sadness the family of June Looney, 91, announces her passing Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2017, after a brief illness. June will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cheri Knoy and Renee Feinberg; her sons-in-law, Bob Knoy and Hill Feinberg; her grandchildren, Brian Knoy and his wife, Alicia, Jeff Knoy and his wife, Kristine, Andrew Knoy and Max McDermott; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Noah Knoy; and several nieces and nephews.
June was preceeded in death by her husbands, Roy Goodman in 1979 and Ned Looney in 1999; her brother, Richard Beaver; her stepson, Dennis Goodman; and her parents, Ellen and Al Beaver.
June was born and raised in Chicago. She attended Roosevelt University and later traveled the world, living in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Venezuela, Aruba, Puerto Rico and all over the United States. In 2004, she moved from Ada to Dallas. June made many friends throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed the company of her daughters and her Dallas families over the past 13 years.
A visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. David Shivers will officiate. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery. Those who so desire may send flowers, or in lieu of flowers, send donations in memory of June Looney to the Phoenix House, Hill A.
