Jessie "J.C." C. Howell passed away Jan. 31, 2018, at the age of 75 years in Duncan.
He was born June 28, 1942, in Lindsey to Raymond Joe and Matildia Evelyn (Parker) Howell.
J.C. attended & graduated from Centrahoma High School in 1960. A veteran, J.C. proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a production foreman for XTO Energy for many years.
J.C. married Erva Nell Cameron on Dec. 8, 1998, in DeQueen, Arkansas.
J.C. was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting arrowheads, panning for gold, hunting and trapping anything that had hair.
He is survived by his wife, Erva Nell Howell of Ada; six children, Janice King and husband, Darrell, of Oklahoma City, Debora Bills and husband, Chili Jo, of Ada, Jesse Howell and wife, Anissa, of Chickasha, Theresa Davis and husband, Randy, of Enid, Jimmy Howell and wife, Candy, of Cheyenne, and Wesley Howell and wife, Rachel, of Overbrook; three stepchildren, Mike Lynch and wife, Ginger, of Centrahoma, Shelly Thompson and husband, Randy, of Atoka and Marvin Lynch of Ada; 17 grandchildren: 16 great-grandchildren: two sisters, Eva Jo Gentry of Decatur, Texas, and Sue Ann Harper of Moyer; the mothers of his children: Sue Howell of Konawa and K.C. Howell of Van Buren, Arkansas; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, A.T. Howell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate, with Pastor David Unsell officiating. Interment will follow at Centrahoma Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
