Services for Jerry Frank Dyer, 76, a lifelong resident of the Pecan Grove community, are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Dyer passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born May 8, 1941, in Ada to Frank and Velma M. Harris Dyer. He attended Latta schools.
He married Charlotte Bingham on Feb. 16, 1959. Mr. Dyer was an automotive shop superintendent with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He also raised cattle and land owned by his family for six generations. Mr. Dyer was a member of Fitzhugh Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, of the home; a son, David Dyer of Clinton; daughter, Debbie Tucker and husband, Randy, of Blanchard; a grandson, Cody Tucker and wife, Marissa; one brother, Donald Dyer and wife, Nancy, of Jamestown, North Carolina; and his cousins, Arnold Harris, Paducah, Kentucky, Sherry Doss, Houston, and Peggy Brown, Katy, Texas.
Bearers will be Lee George, Gene Boiles, Mike Smith, Darrell Monroe, Eric Holloway and Brad Holloway. Honorary bearers will be T.C. Monroe, Delbert Tucker, Donald Lee Price and Jim Laxton.
