Jarate's Story

Jarate DeWayne Condit, 23, of Asher passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6.
He was born March 7, 1994, in Stillwater to Terri and Richard Condit Jr. He graduated from Asher High School in 2014.
Public service was his calling, and he was always willing to help anyone. He was a reserve Asher police officer and a volunteer with the Asher Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and grandmother, Mary Martin.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Terri Condit and husband, Harold Alfred; one sister, Brittani Condit; niece, Leah Duboise; godfather, Tevin Williams; his son, Graysen Frazier and his mother, Brittany Frazier; girlfriend, Tiffany Bulin and her daughter, McKenzie; grandparents, Richard Condit Sr. and Pam Condit; two aunts, Abby Condit and Teresa Luman and her husband, Jared; five uncles, Steven Martin, Michael Martin and his wife, April, Josh McGee, Leon Grimm and Jack Condit; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation took place Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Asher High School gymnasium. Burial will follow at Morrison Cemetery, Morrison, with a traditional Native American burial.
