Services for James Don Martin, 73, of Ada are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Bud Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Martin passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at an Ardmore hospital. He was born July 5, 1943, in Ada to Leo and Laura Mae Spear Martin. He graduated from Latta High School.
Mr. Martin had been employed with Blue Bell Manufacturing, Reeves and Wickhams Packing Plants in Ada and retired as a truck driver for Werner Enterprises in Dallas. He was a member of the Cottage Avenue Church of Christ in Ada and served in the U.S. National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
Survivors include a sister, Linda K. Davis and her husband, Don, of Ada; one nephew, Gene Davis and his wife, Kelli, of Norman; two nieces, LaDonna Halverson of Ada and Laurie Truelove and her husband, Joel, of Tahoka, Texas; several great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor Davis and his wife, Hilary, Amanda Garcia and her husband, Mike, Jessica Halverson, Aleesha Truelove, Mariah Halverson, Brooke Watts and her husband, Barrett, Kayla Halverson and Joshua Davis; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Zoe and Zane Garcia and Kaius Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bearers will be Steven Elmore, Scot Ladd, Taylor Davis, Joshua Davis, Brandon Elmore, Brandon Atkins and David Jones.
