Imogene Oretha Trimble

Imogene Oakley Trimble of Jenks and formerly of Ada passed away May 1, 2019, after recently becoming a centurion. She lived a full and wonderful life as the matriarch of her loving family. She blessed and encouraged many by her wisdom and commitment to family and her Lord and Savior.
Imogene was born April 2, 1919, in Coweta to parents Herman and Emma Kasinger Oakley. She was one of five children and greatly loved her brothers and sisters, who all predeceased her.
Imogene married Herschel Trimble on May 9, 1936, in Coweta and remained married for 71 years until his passing in 2007. Imogene and Herschel moved to Ada in 1937 and lived there until 1992, when they relocated to Tulsa to be near family. In Ada, they belonged to the First Nazarene church, where she served as an elder and teacher.
She was known to many as "Grandma" and brought joy to all with her attitude about life and caring for others. Over the past 20 years, Imogene lived in Jenks at Pioneer Village, where she had many friends and loved her social activities. Friends at Pioneer Village cared for her routinely, and this allowed her to live independently well beyond expectations.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Nickell, and son-in-law, Glen Nickell, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandsons David Nickell and Bryan Guderian, a granddaughter-in-law, Kerrie Guderian; great-granddaughters Lauren Fitter, Kristen Guderian and Megan Klein; step-grandchildren Claire Adams and JQ Adams, and great-great-grandchildren Berkley, Ella and Brooks Klein, all of Tulsa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada.
