Glenda Louise McAlister, 59, of Moore passed away Jan. 14, 2017. She was born May 30, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Lawrence Ray and Lena Christine (Godfrey) Jackson. Glenda attended Hobart High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts, and listening to hymns. Glenda liked to help people and feel like she had a purpose.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Garcia and her fiancé, David Chaney; three grandchildren, Dayshia, Kayla and Matthew; a sister, Jerry L. Russell and her husband, Jack, of Ada; three brothers, Michael Jackson of Choctaw and Bobby and Lawrence Jackson, both of Oklahoma City; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jimmie Don Jackson; her twin, Patricia Ann Griffin; and her grandson, Kyle Jackson.
Funeral Services for Glenda will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 South Broadway, in Moore. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery.
