Services for Gavin Darr Jensen, 88, of Crowder will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mr. Jensen died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at his home. He was born June 21, 1929, in Omaha, Nebraska.
He married Gwendolyn Golden May 10, 1975. Mr. Jensen served in the U.S. Army for four years during the Korean War and was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, where he also served as a union president and was also a member of the Eufaula VFW. He was an avid fisherman and loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn of the home; one sister, Yvonne Fuller of Omaha, Nebraska; two nephews, Bill and Jim Jensen; one grandson, Danny Milstead; a stepdaughter, Brenda Koontz; a stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Tilley; brothers- and sisters-in-law, David Golden and his wife, Virginia; Margaret Beck and her husband, Les; Jean Farmer and her husband, Deryl, and Glen Golden and his wife, Marlene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Milstead; and a stepson, Jeff Tilley.
Bearers will be Bill Richards, Auston Rodgers, Kevin Farmer, Michael Summers, Stephen Farmer, and Arturo Trado. Honorary bearers will be Les Beck, Glen Golden, and David Farmer.
