Memorial services for Darin "Doh Boi" Michael Griffin, 39, of Mannsville will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Mannsville Assembly of God Church in Mannsville.
He was born March 9, 1978, in Ada to Micheal Griffin and Lanita Gail Huff. He passed away May 8, 2017.
Darin is survived by his wife, Lauren DanNette Griffin the love of his life; two sons, Chason Dane Griffin of Oklahoma City and Kobe Daniel Griffin of Eufaula; three daughters, Kaydence Michaela Sue, Trinity Danette and Destiny Danielle Griffin, all of the home; his mother, Lanita Stewart of Ada; his father, Micheal "Mickey" Griffin and his wife, Rebecca, of Ada; three brothers, Adam Griffin of Okemah, Curtis Keller of Ada and Brandon Cox of Ada; three sisters, Kristy Dewitt of Okmulgee, Chelsea Sweet of Ada and Cassie Cox of Ada; his "Mimi," Sandy Morgan and his uncle, "Crabbie," Danny Hitchcock of Mannsville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He attended Vanoss Schools and graduated from Ada High School in 1996. He received his associate's degree in general studies from Murray State College in 2014, his bachelor's in social work from East Central University in 2016 and he recently completed his master's degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma.
He attended church at Mannsville Assembly of God and Ravia Church of God, where he played drums on the worship team. Darin loved Thunder basketball and Sooner football. He enjoyed spending time with his children and wife, playing the drums, conspiracy theories and serving the community in any way possible. He was the secretary of the Mannsville School Board and chairperson of the Johnson O'Malley Program. He also served on the Johnston County INCA Policy Board.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Renfro, Roy Justice, Jerry Bivins, John Thomas, Mike Harbin, Mark Stevenson, Seth Morgan and Jacob Morgan.
