Curtis's Story

Curtis Sylvester Buster Bond, 75, formerly of Ada, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at his residence in Atoka.
He was born Aug. 23, 1941, to Raymond L and Mary S (Berger) Bond in Ada. He graduated from Ada High School.
He married Jo Ann Jones in 1961. They had two sons, Curtis Wayne and Raymond. In 1968, he married Beverly Graham. They had two daughters, Valleri Lynn and Tracie Dawn.
He was a master craftsman and carpenter by trade who loved deer hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed telling stories, especially about deer hunting. Curtis was very proud of his tribal heritage.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home; a son, Raymond of Oklahoma City; his daughters, Valleri Bond and her husband, Jerry Fackler, of Round Rock, Texas, and Tracie Westervelt and her husband, Ron; his granddaughters, Bailey and Riley Westervelt; and a grandson, Tanner Westervelt, all of Denison, Texas; his sisters, Mary Hyden of Broken Arrow and Sammie Montgomery and her husband, Larry, of Checotah; his brother, Kenneth Bond and his wife, LaQuita, of Ada; a brother-in-law, Hugh Graham and his wife, Denise, of Atoka; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Loyd Bond; and an infant son, Curtis Wayne.
