I was in Dr. Eddinton's chemistry classes during his first year at East Central University. He was an excellent professor. I also got to work with Dr. Eddington at Robert S Kerr Research Labratory an got to know if away from the classroom. I have very fond memories of the time spent with Carl.

So very sad to hear of Dr. Eddington’s passing. He was by far the toughest professor we had at ECU but he also taught us many lessons which helped prepare us for future educational endeavors. He was a kind and generous man as well. He always wanted the best out of and for his students. Despite his difficult course work, he was one of our favorite teachers while we attended ECU. Offering prayers for his family during this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of this wonderful man. He was my professor in Organic and Biochemistry at ECU in the mid-70s. A more brilliant man I never met. Of all the professors I have had the pleasure to meet, he was the most important to me with his dry humor, his attention to detail in teaching, and his expectation of the best of others. May his family receive from the Lord mercy and compassion in their time of loss. He truly made my journey in this life more tolerable.
